When & Where : The Christmas Tree 5K will be held at Glencarlyn Park on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at 4955 Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA

Course:

Out’n’back on historic Washington & Old Dominion Trail
Utterly flat & totally scenic
Run alongside a babbling brook
Pass Sparrow Swamp, home of dragonflies in summer and beavers in winter
See a colorful playground near a massive hill (you see it, but you don’t have to run it)
Cross over a boardwalk bridge
Turn around near Bluemont Park, home to baseball diamonds, picnic shelters, soccer fields, and volleyball courts
Then come on back and high-five your friends!

Packet Pick up: Race-day packet pick-up and race-day registration on Sunday, December 3, 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM, on-site at Glencarlyn Park, 4955 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA 22204

Parking: Free parking on-street and at nearby shopping plazas

9:00 AM — On-site volunteer activities begin; Set-up
10:15 AM — Race-day packet pick-up and race-day registration open on-site
10:15 AM — Meet and play with Canine Companion® dogs (and one cat) to relax you, entertain you, and be loved by you — first introduced at 2017 New York City Marathon
10:50 AM — Official welcome to the race by race manager Jay Jacob Wind and race director Emily Carnes
10:52 AM — Introduction of the officers of Arlington South Lions Club and Old Dominion Eye Foundation
10:55 AM — Presentation of the colors and National Anthem
10:57 AM — Course description and safety instructions
10:59 AM — Baby stroller and wheelchair start
11:00 AM — Run / walk start
11:15 AM — First finisher
11:45 AM — Last finisher (approximate)
11:50 AM — Presentation of awards
12:00 noon — Thank you and Happy Holidays to all
12:30 PM — Clean-up; On-site volunteer activities ends
1:00 PM — Christmas tree sales begin
